In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Warren County REMC (WCREMC) is taking the steps necessary to ensure it can continue providing safe and reliable electricity service to its members throughout the crisis. This includes making necessary changes to our operations to limit the potential spread of the virus, while we continue to provide uninterrupted service to our members. WCREMC continues to coordinate its COVID-19 response efforts with Indiana state officials, and we are closely monitoring this fluid situation. As new cases continue to rise in our county we have temporarily closed our office to the public. If you need to make a payment you can make pay on our website, over the phone or drop it off in our drop box at the office.
WCREMC’s mission is to provide our members the ability to access affordable, reliable electric service options that support and simplify their lives. To do this we need to protect the health and welfare of our employees, members, and the communities we serve.
WCREMC recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to have a significant impact on our economy and cause stress and financial challenges for many of our members. To assist our members who are struggling financially due to this pandemic, WCREMC is suspending late payment charges and service disconnections for nonpayment.
Members who are having difficulty paying their bills are encouraged to contact WCREMC by calling (844) 224-0710, to learn about bill assistance programs, special payment arrangements, and community support services that are available.
We appreciate our members’ understanding and patience, as WCREMC responds to this public health crisis, while continuing to provide our communities with the electricity they need. We encourage all our members to follow public health officials’ guidance on what they can do to protect themselves and their community.
