The annual meeting is our favorite event of the year at Warren County REMC. However, the safety of members, employees and board members comes first. That’s why we’ve made the tough decision to transition our annual meeting to an online format this year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. While we won’t be hosting an in- person event, we are fortunate to have put in place options for our members to vote by mail. You’ll still have your voice heard, while staying safe.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ ELECTION
In early September, every member will receive an Indiana Connection magazine that will include an official tear off ballot which can be completed and returned for a bill credit of $10. To vote by mail, simply check the boxes next to your choice of candidate in each district and mail the provided ballot back to the cooperative separately or with your monthly bill. Ballots must be received in our office by Sept. 25. Signature must be present for the vote to count in the election. Members can vote for all districts and only official ballots will be accepted. Ballots received back will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of five $100 bill credits. The drawing will be held Oct. 1 during the annual meeting.
ONLINE ANNUAL MEETING
Though you won’t be able to visit our office, you will be able to attend your annual meeting virtually. You can join via internet or via telephone with the instructions in the August issue of the Indiana Connection or contact the office for details to attend the annual meeting time — 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1.
